Please forgive this departure from our normal format of questions and answers. But I wanted to take a moment and extend a heartfelt thanks to those serving in our country’s military, especially at this time of year.
As one who travels a fair amount I am familiar with the sacrifices that go along with it. However, those sacrifices pale in comparison to the ones made by our soldiers traveling in uniform. Recently I found myself standing in line at an airport to purchase coffee. I was in line behind one of our soldiers also traveling but traveling in uniform. At the risk of offending, I reached out to the soldier, thanked them for what they were doing for all of us and paid for her coffee. As small a token as it was it seemed to help lighten her spirits.
I encourage everyone, whether traveling or not, whether a fan of our government or not, to reach out to those serving in our country’s military and be sure to thank them for their sacrifices made on all our behalf.
