To my fellow engineers I apologize in advance but if you are honest with yourself you will realize that at least one of these applies to you.
The engineer in the crowd will be the one wearing a short sleeve, button down collar, plaid dress shirt with a pen or pencil in the pocket.
The engineer in the crowd will be the one off to the side engaged in either deep thought or a serious (unanimated) conversation.
The engineer in the crowd will be the one looking at the foundation or the exposed beams or the massive columns of the building while everyone else is looking at the art work.
The engineer in the crowd will be the one who, when asked about their honeymoon or vacation, describes the bridges that they stopped to look at during their trip
The engineer in the crowd will be the one providing numerous unsolicited scientific explanations for everything they see
The engineer in the crowd will be the one who can not start building a tree house without a set of design plans
